Watford scored twice and scored a goal after a first-half comeback to beat West Brom 3-2.
Brentford, who have won just three of their first 10 Premier League games, had chances to equalise after the break and took the lead after 12 minutes.
But a well-worked corner was headed wide by substitute Daniel Johnson, before winger Scott Sinclair found the net.
Watford had the better of the first half and went ahead after 17 minutes, when substitute Aaron Cresswell struck the post with a curling effort.
But Cressco followed up with a low shot that deflected off goalkeeper Ben Foster before Sinclair had a shot blocked by Foster.
West Brom were coming back into the game but could not find an equaliser after the restart.
The hosts then went close again when Johnson’s shot was saved by Foster before a second-half cross from Sinclair was turned wide by Foster, who also missed a shot.WATF will play their first league match of the season away to Newcastle United on Saturday.
